The highest purpose of HART is to develop cultural communicators for Christ.  Students gain confidence in commanding the public platform as they participate in chapter training, guided practice, NCFCA competition, CFC conferences, chapter projects, and community platforms.

Huntsville Youth Orchestra  
Huntsville Youth Orchestra’s 2008-2009 season will start Tuesday, September 2 at 5:30 at the SHSU Music Building.  We love to have new students.  Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced student, please come and check HYO out.  If you have an instrument, please bring it.  But if not we will help you find out how to obtain one.  Check out our website for a map www.huntsvilleyouthorchestra.com.   Remember, your first semester with HYO will be free, excluding your private lessons.  If you have any questions call Henry Chisum 291-3183 or Lynise Means 344-7079.

www.starfall.com -This site is packed full of reading help, classical music, creative books and so much more.  It is a wonderful site for children who are learning their letters to children who are reading fluently.  Take time to look at all the different links and games - there are many layers to this site.

www.learninggamesforkids.com/ - The name says it all!

www.funbrain.com - This site offeres arcade type games for all ages.  There are games that cover academic areas and games that are just for fun.

www.iknowthat.com/com - Tons of educational games at varying levels.  You can play the games without purchasing a membership.  The membership allows you to track progress and print out reports.

The Homeschool Freebie of the Day  is a site where you sign up for their weekly email.   On Monday you will get an email lisiting the free product for each day - 5 products total for each week.  

Homeschoolshare.com  is a site that has many unit studies, lapbooks and other wonderful activities for children written by homeschooling parents. 

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine has several free enewsletters that you can subscribe to.  One of the enewsletters is the Freebie Fridays Weekly e-NewsletterThere are free unit studies and science lessons in the E-Newsletters tab.

Brightly Beaming Resources is a site with free curriculum for infants to primary grades.
